7/17/2024: I had an essay come out in a the print-only lit journal Agni a few months ago and I have been patiently waiting for the moment when I can post it on the Fishbowl site and share it here. That would be... today! This version is a little different, including developments since the first iteration, also images and a bit of commentary. It's about home, family, genealogy, and steamed clams, and you can read it here.

7/17/2024: My beloved friend, the genius poet and peace advocate Naomi Shihab Nye and I have edited a book together, and it's coming out from Texas A&M University Press in September (after decades in the making.) Read about it and pre-order here

7/17/2024: In A Wedding Toast for Pood and Nay Nay, we review the history of the magical romance between my son Vince and his new wife Shannon as it has been covered since 2012 in the Baltimore Fishbowl, and share many gorgeous wedding photos.

1/17/24: I have a story in Cosmopolitan this month, part of a big online package on Sex after 60. My humble contribution is here. Thanks to my daughter Jane, now at Columbia Journalism School, who alerted me to a pitch request on Twitter, ultimately giving me the opportunity to write a sequel to a sex story I did for Cosmo in July 1995. It's been a long strange trip, for sure. And don't ask me about the insane art, I had nothing to do with it.

12/17/20: On LitHub, Six Book Critics Walk Into a Zoom to Talk About Autofiction, A Totally Fictional Story by Marion Winik Featuring a Martin Amis Cameo.
